Description: The event aims to provide a space for reflection, analysis, and awareness‑building on the state of freedom of expression in the Latin American region. Organized within the framework of World Press Freedom Day (WPFD), it will also commemorate the 20th anniversary of Article 19 in Mexico and feature the presentation of the 2025 Annual Report of the Article 19 Office for Mexico and Central America, alongside UNESCO’s report “World Trends in Freedom of Expression and Media Development: Global Report 2022/2025; Journalism: Shaping a Peaceful World.” The event brings together from the region journalists, media organizations, civil society organizations, representatives of public institutions and government, as well as the general public, to foster inclusive dialogue and deepen understanding of contemporary challenges and opportunities for freedom of expression.
